    Ø     Manufactured on 50% post-consumer waste recycled paper

    Ø     Produced on chlorine-free and acid-free paper

    Ø     Printed using soy-based inks

    Ø     Produced without dust jackets to save energy and reduce waste

     

    Tie-in products, apparel, & bookmarks:

    Ø      Adhere to fair labor standards (wristbands)

    Ø      Use hemp and certified organic cotton (wristbands)

    Ø     FSC-certified paper using vegetable-based inks (bookmarks)  

     

    Manuscript galleys and proofs for reviewers, business cards & stationery are*:

    Ø      100% recycled paper

    Ø      Soy-based ink (business cards)

    Ø      Wind energy offsets for manufacturing process and shipping (business cards)

    Ø      *35% minimum post-consumer waste recycled paper for book award submissions

    Ø      Furniture: Cradle-to-Cradle certified chairs, reclaimed wood book cases, bamboo waste containers, salvaged/ reused desks and shelves
